Tapper marquee

Bally Midway, 1983

Gameplay

You are the bartender and you have customers to keep happy! As the customers come into the bar, you must pour the beer and slide it down to them. After they finish, they slide the empty mugs back to you - you must catch the empty mugs. Some will leave change as a tip, so you have to run down the bar and grab the money. If any customer doesn't get a beer or any mug falls on the floor, you lose a life.

There was another version of this game for the non-adult market -- Root Beer Tapper.

Acquisition

This one I got in a trade. At the last WS auction I bought a Heavy Barrel for $60 and a Klax for $40. I traded both of those for the Tapper. I had to go all the way to Exmore, VA (4.5 hours drive away) to pick this sucker up. Well worth it though. This is one of the three games (Bank Panic and Breakout are the others) that my wife simply must have in order to support my hobby :)

Repairs

The monitor has some major burnin. Maybe some smoked plexiglass in front of the monitor will hide it for now. It needs new handle stickers and needs a new CPO, both of which can be found at Twisnion's site.

12/29/98 - UPDATE: I received the Budweiser handle art and applied them. Quite an improvement. I also polished the footrail with some brass cleaner and the difference is incredible! Now I need to buy some new brass bolts to re-attach it, buy a new CPO, replate the cupholders, and replace the monitor. Shouldn't take more than an hour and $10 (Yeah - right!)
